Jocelyn is a language and Chinese culture pro.

When it comes to Chinese, Jocelyn is not just another translator. Sure, she’s fluent in Mandarin Chinese. But, more importantly, she sees the whole picture, including Chinese culture and the language. That’s because she’s lived in China for five and a half years, and is married to a Chinese national. While working in China, she immersed herself in the world of marketing, Chinese style. She was a staff writer for three years with Global Sources, the premier international trade media company. There, she worked from offices in Shanghai and Taipei to develop marketing materials for manufacturers in China. She was also a staff writer for one year with the China Chemical Network, China’s largest B2B online portal for the chemical industry, where she assisted with the development of online advertisements and web content for chemical manufacturers in China. Today, she helps middle-market businesses understand how to navigate Chinese culture to be successful in the global market.

In English, Jocelyn brings a balance of creativity and logic to content development and writing. Years of journaling and a love for poetry developed her skills for creative wordsmithing. She also has more than five years of experience doing commercial writing and content development. Yet she’s no stranger to the world of thorough research and organization. Unlike most writers, Jocelyn is not an English major. She has a degree in environmental biology and a minor in chemistry – and she graduated summa cum laude from Marshall University as a Yeager Scholar. Count on Jocelyn to uncover the information you need, organize it effectively, and add creative flair.
